FMC stock has fallen two-thirds over the past year due to industry headwinds and patent expirations in the agricultural chemicals sector. Despite challenges including declining revenue and earnings, the stock may present a buying opportunity for new investors due to two potential catalysts: a possible strategic acquisition at a premium price and new patented crop protection products.
