Chiesi Global Rare Diseases and Protalix BioTherapeutics Announce European Commission Approval of Additional Dosing Regimen of Every Four Weeks for Elfabrio® (pegunigalsidase alfa)

The European Commission has approved a new every-4-weeks dosing regimen (2mg/kg) for Elfabrio® (pegunigalsidase alfa) in adults with Fabry disease who are stable on enzyme replacement therapy. This approval extends the infusion interval from every 2 weeks, reducing treatment burden for patients and healthcare systems. Protalix is entitled to a $25 million regulatory milestone payment from Chiesi. The FDA-approved dosing in the US remains unchanged at 1mg/kg every 2 weeks.
