PSE and ChargeScape launch Washington’s first demonstration using EVs to power residential homes
Puget Sound Energy (PSE) and ChargeScape have announced a demonstration of vehicle-to-home (V2H) technology that enables electric vehicles to power homes during outages and support grid reliability. The program, featuring Ford F-150 Lightning and Kia EV9 models, allows customers to use EV batteries as backup power and reduce energy costs through time-of-use optimization. Initial enrollment focuses on PSE employees, with potential expansion to broader customers by 2027.
