Ally Financial and Chime Financial represent two contrasting approaches to digital banking. Ally offers established automotive financing with reasonable valuation and dividend yield but faces customer concentration risk with GM and Stellantis. Chime targets underbanked consumers with rapid growth but operates at a loss with a premium valuation. Ally appears the safer choice for most investors, while Chime shows promise after achieving Q1 2026 profitability but remains overvalued at 58.5x forward earnings.
